We’re helping put big smiles on little faces this Christmas! The GKD team have gotten behind the Special Children’s Christmas Party charity to create a special Christmas celebration for kids experiencing some pretty tough challenges.
Christmas can be such a special time of year, but, sadly for some kiwi kids this isn’t the case. Whether they are living with life threatening illness, physical or intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or in underprivileged circumstances, we want to bring these kids a little bit of joy these holidays.
Special Children’s Christmas Parties do incredible work in creating happy memories for children regardless of the challenges they are experiencing. This year more than 2,000 kids and families will be in attendance and for many it will be the highlight of their year. The team put on a day filled with shows, rides, games, and presents from Santa!
We place a lot of importance on giving back to our local community who have shown us amazing support in our first year of business. Knowing we are able to help these kids feel special, makes our work so much more rewarding for us! Our donation has gone directly towards gifts, entertainment and food for the party, we couldn’t be more stoked to know we have helped make a difference in these kids’ lives.
